My Investment Journey Update: September 2014 ; Survived Comex 2014!
So it's the 1st of September! Thankfully, I survived the past 4 days of Comex 2014.
The income + the very VERY small commission will be very useful for my investments this month.
Anyway, as I logged into my POSB eSavings Account today to check on my balance, guess what greeted me? Yup! The monthly interest credited to our savings account!
A very fantastic sum of $0.02! RT if you cried.
Moving on, since I had worked for the past 4 days and though I have not yet received my pay as it takes time for them to tally all the commission slips + total working hours I took the liberty to invest using my savings first, knowing it will be replenished later.
So, for the month of September instead of investing just $100, I invested $341 into purchasing
Nikko AM STI ETF.
So currently I have only 200 shares of Nikko AM STI ETF.... :( Oh well, it takes time. Just started in the middle of August so I can't really complain especially as the stock price fell just as I wanted to purchase.
So anyway, for those who are also just beginning, persevere! Invest every month, and monitor once in awhile but don't let it take over your life. Time is precious!
Signing off,
Teenage Investor
