Found via ValueWalk. Gladwell detailed this in his book Outliers. The idea is that cultures with hierarchical structures of authority aren't as good at certain things that could require subordinates to question their superiors. This interview clip is from 2009, and interesting in light of the recent Asiana Airlines incident.
